About Akshar Manav Jhaad Sammelan 2026

The Akshar Manav Jhaad Sammelan 2026 was a unique environmental and cultural gathering created around the importance of trees, nature and our responsibility towards the environment.

Held on 25 and 26 July 2026 at Managaon, Dehare, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, the event brought together environmental awareness and cultural expression through tree plantation, poetry, music, short films, conversations and community activities.

Unlike a conventional tree plantation drive, the initiative focused on creating a deeper connection between people and nature.

The programme demonstrated that environmental awareness can be communicated not only through campaigns and lectures, but also through poetry, music, art, storytelling and community participation.

The initiative ultimately moved from:

Conversation → Awareness → Participation → Tree Plantation → Responsibility

Fencecoat Engineers and Social Responsibility

Fencecoat Engineers participated in the Akshar Manav Jhaad Sammelan 2026 as part of its social and environmental responsibility initiatives.

The event provided an opportunity to support a meaningful environmental initiative while bringing together communities and organisations around the importance of trees and environmental conservation.

For Fencecoat Engineers, responsibility extends beyond the solutions it provides. Supporting initiatives that encourage tree plantation, environmental awareness, community participation and sustainability reflects a broader commitment towards a responsible future.

Protecting what matters is not limited to physical spaces.
It also means caring for the environment we all share.

Why Tree Plantation Matters

Trees are an essential part of a healthy environment and play an important role in supporting biodiversity, improving local green cover and creating healthier surroundings.

However, a successful tree plantation initiative should go beyond the act of planting a sapling.

The long-term value of a plantation drive depends on how well the planted trees are protected and nurtured after the event. Current environmental CSR practices increasingly emphasize community involvement and post-plantation care as important components of meaningful environmental impact.

Planting a tree is the beginning.

Protecting and nurturing it is the responsibility.

Day 1 – An Evening of Trees, Words & Ideas

The first day of the Akshar Manav Jhaad Sammelan brought together environmental awareness and cultural expression.

The evening was designed around conversations about trees and nature, complemented by Marathi and Hindi poetry, musical performances, short films and community interaction.

Rather than presenting environmental conservation as only a technical subject, the programme used literature and performing arts to create an emotional connection between people and nature.

Programme Highlights

  • Marathi and Hindi poetry
  • Poetry jugalbandi mehfil
  • Poetry recitation
  • Musical performances
  • Short films related to trees
  • Environmental conversations
  • Cultural presentations
  • Community interaction

Poetry, Music & Cultural Performances

One of the highlights of the Akshar Manav Jhaad Sammelan was its unique Marathi-Hindi poetry and music programme, bringing environmental thought together with literature and performing arts. The programme featured a special Marathi–Hindi poetry jugalbandi mehfil, creating an engaging cultural experience around the theme of trees and nature.

The poetry programme was one of the distinctive cultural highlights of the event. Bringing together Marathi and Hindi poetry, the jugalbandi mehfil created a space where literature and nature came together through words, voices and music.

The performances added an artistic dimension to the environmental initiative and helped communicate the importance of trees through a language that was emotional, relatable and accessible to the audience.

Shri Sayaji Shinde – Special Guest & Vrukshadoot

A major highlight of the event was the participation of renowned actor and Vrukshadoot Shri Sayaji Shinde.

His association with tree conservation and environmental awareness added significance to the gathering and reinforced the importance of protecting trees and nature.

His participation connected the cultural side of the programme with the environmental purpose of the initiative.

When people connect emotionally with nature, awareness can become action.

Day 2 – From Awareness to Action

After an evening of poetry, music, cultural performances and environmental conversations, the second day transformed the message into direct action. Participants gathered at Managaon, Dehare, Ahmednagar, for a collective tree plantation activity.

The 1,000 Trees Impact Section

The plantation activity was one of the central outcomes of the Jhaad Sammelan.

But the initiative was not intended to make plantation numbers the only measure of success.

The broader objective was to encourage people to understand the importance of trees, participate in environmental activities and develop a stronger sense of responsibility towards nature.

Current environmental CSR practices increasingly distinguish meaningful plantation from one-day activity by considering community ownership, protection and long-term survival.

Plant. Protect. Nurture.

A tree plantation drive becomes meaningful when the planted trees are given the opportunity to survive and grow. This approach shifts the focus from simply counting planted saplings to thinking about long-term environmental sustainability.

PLANT

Create green cover through responsible and native tree plantation.

PROTECT

Protect newly planted saplings from environmental hazards and physical damage.

NURTURE

Encourage continued care, watering, and community responsibility towards growing trees.

Community Participation for a Greener Future

Environmental responsibility becomes stronger when people participate directly.

The Jhaad Sammelan brought together individuals and organisations around a shared environmental objective, creating opportunities for people to engage through cultural activities, environmental conversations and tree plantation.

The initiative showed that a greener future requires more than awareness.

It requires participation.

Inspiring the Next Generation

The event also encouraged children to participate in environmental awareness through a Balak-Palak Reel Competition focused on the importance of trees.

The competition was aimed at children below the age of 14 and encouraged them to use creativity and digital media to communicate their thoughts about trees and nature.

This created a meaningful connection between:

Children → Creativity → Digital Media → Environmental Awareness

The initiative demonstrated that environmental responsibility can begin at an early age.
